Rogers iPhone plans.....

Location: Ontario, Toronto
Industry: Telecom
Company: Rogers

What more can be said?

Unreasonable pricing because they are the only game in town.

Ted Rogers should be held to task for this...

I'm sick and tired of Rogers

Location: Alberta, calgary
Industry: Telecom
Company: Rogers

I'm sick of Roger's hostage-like pricing plans.

What I don't understand is how Rogers is getting away with holding a monopoly in the Canadian market with the GSM/3G network. The only other player that was out there was Fido, which had a ton of potential, and as soon as Rogers saw Fido as a threat, they bought Fido out!.

I've recently decided that I will NOT be purchasing the iPhone with the Rogers/Fido network, as they cannot hold me hostage to their outrageous prices. I will wait until another carrier will come out, which should be next summer.

Not to mention the rediculous prices for the data plans, but Rogers has HORRIBLE customer service and they really need to do something about it

Screwing Canadian iPhone Customers

Location: Ontario, Toronto
Industry: Telecom mv
Company: Rogers

The 3G iPhone was supposed to bring data to the masses, but leave it to Rogers/Fido to throw that idea out the window completely.

No Unlimited Data, No Flexible Voice Plan

The iPhone 3G comes with 4 plan. None of them include unlimited data, which is quite dissapointing. The premium plan, comes at $115 per month with a cap of 2GB and 800 minutes of voice. To the initial fee, you have to add $15 for the caller ID, $0.50 for 911 services and $6.95 of access fee. With taxes included, you’re going to pay almost $160 per month. More than $3000 at the end of the mandatory 3 years contract.

Message from Ruinediphone.com

Everyone would like to say "NO THANKS" to Rogers/Fido for screwing our iPhone Canadian dream with poor data/voice plans. If you consider these plans not suitable, please sign this petition.

On July 11th 2008, we will send a printed copy of all these messages to Rogers HQ to demonstrate our indignation toward them. We would like to say "Thank You, You" for signing this petition and helping the iPhone cause in Canada.

MTN - DISGUSTING SERVICE

Location: Other, EAST LONDON, RSA
Industry: Telecom

I got a contract phone and after two months of using the phone the LCD screen packed up. I handed the phone in for repairs in East London and after much performing, complaining and what not, I finally got the phone back 7 weeks later. Had the phone for another month and the very same thing happened. I handed this phone in again in East London - ON THE 17TH APRIL 2008!!!! Now, today 18 JUNE 2008 I am told they don't know where the phone is!!! People, somebody, anybody, just tell me that this is not right. What a bunch of idiots. No guessing, but I certainly will not renew my contract with these idiots ever again?!!!

I'd expect a little more when paying $1000

Location: Ontario, Orangeville
Industry: Retail

Recently, I was looking at laptops at the Orangeville location, and found exactly what I was looking for. It took me 15 minutes to find someone to help me, and when I did, the salesperson looked completely disinterested. The salesperson said that it was the last one, thus making it a floor model. That was fine.

Then came the whole speech on extended warranties.. etc. This guy would not take no for an answer. He said for $50.00 we can delete all the pre-loaded trial software, and get the computer set up in your name. I said surely I can do this myself, to which he replied "no, you need to have a certain code."

After a few minutes of this I finally gave in (which is what they want you to do) and agreed. I was told it would take a couple of hours to do this, and to come back.

When I returned to pick up my laptop, it was ready for me, but instead of putting my $1000 laptop neatly in a box, it was put in a plastic bag, with all the accessories merely thrown in, with the techie saying, "there you go."

Their customer service skills are garbage, and if I had paid $100 for this laptop, then I could justify them doing that. But for $1000, you would think they would want to package it neatly to avoid damage, and look like they care about their products.

While my computer is great, I won't be going back there anytime soon to purchase anything!
