www.proudshopper.com is bad business and terrible customer service!

Location: Other, FALKVILLE AL
Industry: Other
Annoyed By: www.proudshopper.com

On May 1, 2010 I purchased two flags from www.proudshopper.com, and their confirmation email stated that it may take up to three weeks to be delivered.

Three weeks?!?!? OK, so I wait three weeks, no, actually 3 1/2 weeks, then write www.proudshopper.com asking me where my flags were, and stating that if they haven't shipped them already, then to cancel the order! I wasn't the nicest in my email, but then again, I was NOT a happy customer, and www.proudshopper.com had not followed through with their promise, nor had they contacted me in any way to tell me there was a delay!
So, this is what the idiot from www.proudshopper.com, named Ron, wrote me back:
"Only one 2'x3' flag was in stock. (Only a few of this particular flag
are sold per YEAR!) A fresh shipment arrived today. Your order would
have shipped tomorrow and you would have had it by Friday. But, I'm GLAD
to cancel the order of someone with such a pissy-ass attitude! A refund
and banishment it is!

This is why there will soon be a $25 minimum order in effect. Shitty
little orders likes yours cause, by far, the most problems. Piss off and
don't come back! Get your shit from China.

Ron"
So, what kind of customer service is that?!?!? I would suggest that anyone thinking about shopping at "proud"shopper.com, DO NOT shop there!!! You're wasting your time!!! Bad company! Bad, no TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!

Location: Ontario, Toronto
Industry: Retail
Annoyed By: Futureshop mobility

I bought an USB internet stick there and now I owe them thousand of dollars because they gave wrong information.

The sales said there is a flex plan for it which it was not true and then later denied that they did.

The workers there are scamming people (Downtown - Dundas and Yonge) and they are laughing when we took the bait.

Dont go for their stupid waranties because is a contract trap. You will pay for something that will never get to use.

I hate futureshop!

STAY AWAY FROM Russell Oliver's Jewellery On Eglinton West & Avenue Rd WORSE ATTITUDE

Location: Ontario, Toronto
Industry: Retail
Annoyed By: Russell Oliver's Jewellery

Hi i was just down there today because i saw his ad on the net, and i had some Silvery Jewelery to sell. They claim that they will buy your Jewelery and give you big bucks, but is this this biggest load of crap you guys have ever heard.

He mainly is interested in gold, but takes silver as well. So i went down there because i wanted to see how much i can get for my jewellery cause i need it for my books.

When i went inside, there was a double door that prevents theives from grabbing things and running out with them, so basically its like a 2 door trap that requires him to buzz you open. When i went in the first door, the salesman was helping some lady out in the cashier and made me wait between the 2 doors for like 3 mins trapped there before Oliver came out and buzzed me in.

Once i was in he asked what i had and i showed him. He said my necklace was "garbage", threw it back to my hand (literally) and said its Hong Kong (He may have said this as i am asian) and asked what else did i have. I was shocked when he did this.. how could he treat customers like this? i then offered him a ring and he said "Yeahhhh its used..... no one wants this used ring..... ill give you 50 bucks for it" Ok rfd members: i do believe his ad was "I BUY YOUR USED JEWELLERY" (the ring retail to me for $300+. and then im like, "forget it thanks anyway."

I wasnt the only one he treated like this. This gentle old lady came in after me offering him a gold necklace and a bracelet i believed when she walked in asked how much can she get for it. He said at the bracelet, "This is useless and worthless, what else you have?" She then showed him the necklace and he said this is ok, but this thing here is glass, so thats not worth much" You shouldve seen the sad look on her face, i felt bad for her but then again i knew how she felt as well.

Then I walked off. He then said good luck and let me out.

When i saw his ad on tv a few years ago, everyone remembers his wacky, comical and friendly voice. HE IS NOT LIKE THAT IN PERSON I REPEAT NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL. He was just bitter and had the worst attitude i have ever seen.

I personally do sales as well, but if you were to lowball, fine but you do not treat your customers in your store like this.

I Just want everyone to now his store is like, and if you ppl are considering of going there, get ready to experience this kind of behaviour.

I strongly discourage anybody going to this place, look for somewhere else to pawn your jewellery

Bye bye Shoppers Drug Mart

How many people knowing that shoppers return policy really sucks?

They wouldn't exchange or return the electronic product. And the custom service is really bad. I bought an Acer Aspire Netbook, since its hard driver makes noise. I wanna exchange or return it. The store manager said she bought a same type netbook for her son, it works just fine. I let her test it by herself. She turn on the netbook, it is slow, it makes noise. said "what do you expect a netbook to do? And you have food on your computer, it doesn't seems like it just have been use several times, you can not return it if it isn't resalable". First of all, you don't suppose to sale it again, if it has some problem. second, I am so sure about that it wouldn't have food on my netbook, I only use it when I was in bed, and I bought a sleeve for this netbook, I always took good care of my staff not just that netbook. So I asked her to ask some neutral person's opinion whether it is in good shape or not.

She said it doesn't matter what other people think, she thought it isn't resalable. She told me she bought a DS for her son at Walmart, she just walked out the store and her son did't like the color, she tried to change it, Walmart didn't let her to do that since she walked out the store. Come on, do you believe so? Actually, I called walmart, ask them this circumstance, they said "it's never happened before. Custom service is everything, they always put customs' right first".

Then my friend who stood beside me tried to explain more clearly to her, she said "I am dealing with your friend, it doesn't matter what you think, I have been in this company for 20 years, I am the manager here. You could call 1-800-Shoppers tomorrow, and it wouldn't change anything". Then she just left us and walked away. I was speechless.

It said on their website: "We have always remained true to our belief that the personal satisfaction of each and every customer is at the root of our success - and it can only be ensured by the commitment of people who realize that success is built one customer at a time". I called 1-800-SHOPPERS today, they said they cannot do anything, because each shoppers belong to individual owner. Do you believe that? If the head office is powerless like that, how could they guarantee the quality of the product we get from different store?

To be honest, I knew I can do nothing about the manager, like she said she had been in the company for more than 20 years. But I just wanna share the experience here. I'd like to go a store who respect human being from now on. And since the price in Shoppers is much more expensive than the other places.

Thank for your reading.

DELL made a mistake with laptop, asks me to pay for it

Location: Ontario, Toronto
Industry: Technology
Annoyed By: Dell

I'm not certain what I should do:
a) just return the laptop and re-order
b) keep the laptop

Here's the back story.
Last month I ordered a new Studio 15 (model 1558) laptop. Bought it on sale. Paid just over a $1k for i5, 1Gb RAM, ATI 5470 1Gb, 1080p, Intel Wi-fi, 9cell batt. Really nice price I thought. It came in on friday.

I'm happy with the laptop. Everything is good and fine and exactly as ordered, except for the screen resolution. It came with 720p (1366x768). I ordered 1920x1080. I know that for a fact!

After going through hell with their support number (1.5 hours on phone, transferred 17 times), they won't admit they made a mistake. All they can offer is to accept the laptop back and for me to re-order. BUT it will cost $90 more for the screen that I ALREADY PAID for.

The CSR I spoke to didn't even have a clue what I'm talking about. Kept repeating that the size of screen is as I ordered: 15.6in. I SAID resolution. Not physical size, you idiot! He couldn't even clue in. How does he sell computers without knowing what he is selling. ARGHHHH!

Even my packing slip says:
Part # W389J - LCD 15.6in (HDF).
Checked with their tech support, "HDF" is acronym for Hi-Def Full (1080p). Where as HD is for 720p.

Googling for this part number brings up a few more cases of people getting 720p resolution where they expected 1080p. Seems like i'm not the only one. But Dell won't budge even with all the evidence.

Absolutely Horrible Customer Service

Location: Other, Troy, NY
Industry: Restaurant
Annoyed By: "Lori" The store manager of Pizza Hut 5th ave Troy, NY

I recently had a complaint about one of my pizzas i ordered from the Troy, NY location on 5th ave. i normally don't have many complaints, but this pizza didn't have any of the things that i had ordered on it. this was on April 28th. I spoke to Tom who after arguing with me briefly, gave me a 10 dollar credit. I ordered a pizza online today at around 6pm online, and then phoned the store to make sure they had my credit. They said they didn't know what i was talking about and they could give me a 20% discount. I was speaking to Lori on the phone who argued with me incessantly, i misspoke once and said dominos, she said i didn't even know what store i was calling and then hung up on me. I called back with the date and time of my last order and she got on the phone pretending that she was someone new and that i hadn't just talked to her, but yet told me there werent any other females working in her store. I told her i didn't want the pizza and that i was calling corporate for this absolutely horrible customer service
